Today, two community-based early childhood education centers have been established in the village of Bresanë, Dragash Municipality, as a result of the one-year partnership signed between Devolli Corporation and UNICEF. This is an important investment in the development and education of children in Kosovo and contributes to expanding access to early childhood education services in rural areas.

Through these two centers, more than 60 children aged 3 and 4 will have access to opportunities for early learning as well as holistic development, in a suitable environment equipped to promote play-based learning. Educators at the center, who are also supported through the Devolli Corporation-UNICEF partnership, will receive specialized training to promote children's socio-emotional development.

Devolli Corporation is also providing 300 mattresses for children to Early Education Centers in four municipalities, of which 120 were donated to these two new centers in the municipality of Dragash. This donation will help implement various activities in the curriculum.

The need for investment in early childhood development programs in Kosovo is evident, with only 15% of children aged 3-4 years currently enrolled in early childhood education. This situation disproportionately affects the most vulnerable groups, including children from Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, those living in rural areas and those living in poverty.

In addition to supporting the centers in Dragash, this partnership will support other preschool classrooms with equipment and learning materials to improve the child-centered learning environment and play, and to conduct training and other activities to increase knowledge and skills. of parents to support children's development and well-being.

Under the umbrella of this partnership, Devolli Corporation is not only expanding educational opportunities for children aged 0-6, but also promoting youth empowerment. Through the Training Center, Devolli Corporation offers internships, mentoring and training to young people through Kosovo Generation Unlimited. Recently, Devolli Corporation opened 100 positions for practical work within its businesses, providing first work experience for young people and fostering the next generation of the workforce in Kosovo.
